Help Our Cause

WELCOME !

My Name is Jocelyn Whitfield. I am the CEO/ Director of the Center for Creative Life and Learning, Inc. and its Girls on Fire Mentoring and Leadership and the Boys Becoming Great Men Mentoring Programs. We are a 501(c) 3 Non-Profit Community Organization located in Maryland.

I have 30 years of experience,  developing,  strengthening, building the capacities of community organizations  and governmental programs.

As I traveled the United States for over 20 years, I've seen the plight of underserved families and children. Because of this I decided to dedicate the rest of my life to establishing program services to benefit and empower underserved and  marginalized women and children. I knew that if we are to change the trajectory of these families, it must start with positive youth development and parental engagement.

Our  work began in Howard County and  expanded to Baltimore City and County. Since 2014, we have served over 400 youth and families.

Our aim is to help youth reach their full potential and to acquire tools to become  successful in life. We offer comprehensive and holistic youth development services and at  the same time support families needing our help.

We believe every child has a seed of greatness within them and it our responsibility to help nurture it so they can realize their giftedness and value and understand they can achieve anything they put their minds to.

It takes money and human resources to sustain these vital services. To accomplish as much as we have, my Board and I have utilized our financial resources,  donations, small grants to keep the work going.

However now we find ourselves  in  need of your help as never before.  We have a waiting list of students. Will you help us!  Any amount is acceptable. Each donation is tax deductible  All donations are welcomed.

We also ask you to consider becoming a mentor or volunteer. Help us make a difference in the lives of our youth. We are impacting generations that will follow us.

The Mentor interest form is below.

Thanking you in advance,

Jocelyn  Whitfield, CEO
