Youth Advocates Effecting Change (YAEC)

Empowering youth to use their voices to effect change. YAEC provides students with knowledge and tools to effectively advocate for issues that concern them and have their voices heard regarding legislative and policy decisions affecting their future (at the state, county and Federal levels). Students will visit legislative offices, sessions and hear from some of our elected officials.  Currently there is not an enrollment fee.  Space is limited.

Support Groups are held  on Saturdays twice a month. Registration  is required. Professional counselors  and MSW Clinical Social Workers facilitate  group sessions. Students are given the opportunity to share their challenges, and receive tools to navigate through them. They also find a safe place to voice their concerns among their peers.
