Youth Advocates Effecting Change (YAEC)

Empowering youth to use their voices to effect change. YAEC provides students with knowledge and tools to effectively advocate for issues that concern them and have their voices heard regarding legislative and policy decisions affecting their future (at the state, county and Federal levels). Students will visit legislative offices, sessions and hear from some of our elected officials.  Currently there is not an enrollment fee.  Space is limited.

          Learn How to Effectively Communicate with Your Child

Have you reached a communication impasse with your children and struggling to know how to communicate with them without arguments? It's not easy but communicating effectively is crucial to building a positive relationship with them. Learning how to communicate effectively- expressing your view point and listening to understand theirs can build a loving relationship and life-long friendship. Every mother desires this.

Michelle Malone will share with you useful tools, strategies and practices to help you.

Support Groups are held  on Saturdays twice a month. Registration  is required. Professional counselors  and MSW Clinical Social Workers facilitate  group sessions. Students are given the opportunity to share their challenges, and receive tools to navigate through them. They also find a safe place to voice their concerns among their peers.
